Dr. M.A Mir is a distinguished Gastroenterologist and Endoscopist at Artemis Hospital, with over 17 years of experience in the field of Gastroenterology. He heads the Gastroenterology – Liver & Digestive Diseases (Unit III) at the hospital. Dr. Mir has been trained in all aspects of Gastroenterology at AIIMS, New Delhi, and SKIMS, Soura Srinagar. His clinical focus includes the management of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcer disease, inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, celiac disease, hemorrhoids (piles), fissures, hepatitis, fatty liver, alcoholic liver disease, cirrhosis and its complications, liver cancer, and gastrointestinal bleedings. Dr. Mir is also involved in liver transplantation patient evaluation and post-transplantation management.
He has published 13 papers based on individual and joint research on subjects like liver diseases and acid peptic diseases. Dr. Mir is a Fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology and holds memberships in several professional societies, including the Indian Society of Gastroenterology and the Indian Medical Association.
